Thanks John1. I did check them out, and I do think it might be one. However, I am such a newbie I really don't know for sure. Do you think it is?

It has to match exactly. No sign of a double ear.

Would need much clearer pictures of ear lobe area.
There is a Variety Vista DDO 008 earlobe variety, maybe compare to that one.

I do not think your coin is a doubled ear. You might want to improve your photos a bit also.

The 1984 Doubled Die obverse Lincoln Cent is considered a major variety in the Lincoln Cent series, as the doubling can be easily seen with the naked eye.

Variety Attribution: The doubling is mostly evident on Abraham Lincoln's ear towards the South. Also, his beard and bowtie are strongly doubled towards the South. The variety was discovered in the same year in which the coins were struck. There are possibly several thousand examples in existence in all grades combined. Also on page 93 of strike it rich with pocket change 5th edition book as well. Does not appear this coin has a doubled ear so far.

Keep in mind that the ear lobe will be separate and there will also be a showing of a spread on the beard.
