I won an auction for some coins on ebay and payed with PayPal as usual. However, the status said unclaimed. I have never seen this before.

So, I sent the seller a message (claim your $ and send my coins ASAP) The seller does not respond.

After 3 days I send another message asking what is going on.

Seller responds saying he e-mailed me (never got an email) saying he wont ship until he gets paid and his hands are tied. (totally understandable. I would not ship until paid either) However, there is no mention of the "unclaimed" paypal payment and the attitude was like I was trying to rip him off..

So, I cancel payment and re-pay the transaction. Still says "unclaimed" and that they are an unregistered user. But, I see new recent feedback from other transactions.

I sent him another message explaining what is happening on my end and have not herd anything back.

This sellers lack of concern is disturbing. Anyone know what is going on?

double check the paypal account, you could have missed a letter or something. Ask the seller his complete payapl account to make sure you have the right payapl account (which is the email address of the seller)

The seller will get an email from PayPal... not from ebay, nor will he get this message in his ebay mail inbox. The email will tell him to log onto his PayPal account and accept payment. This could happen because of his verified status or the currencies/credit cards/countries he normally accepts payment from. Regardless, he must logon to his PayPal account to accept payment.

If he has recently changed his email address and not matched up with PayPal/eBay... well, you obvously know that there's no one to accept payment(bounce back email address). Did you use the Pay Now button, or did you pay by an email address in PayPal?

You get charged for cancelling and repaying... STOP
If this transaction becomes disputed two attempts at payment indicates your intention well enough.

Could be a hijacked account. Get a hold of PayPal via phone or e-mail and describe the scenario. They should be able to let you know about this seller's account.

Also try toolhaus.org for more seller feedback info.
