Been off and on with my commemorative issues. Happens to be in on mode now. Has a bit of funky streaked toning which isn't to bad in hand. What do y'all think this might grade?

I'll say MS-63.

Part of that funky toning mentioned. No idea why with would look stringy like that.

Agree with the MS63, but I do find that weird stuff a little distracting to the eye.

Love the 1930's Classics.....

The Classic Designs, The High Details, Exquisite Artwork, The designer's initials , IF present are Hard to see, compared to The COMMEMORATIVES of Today... The Obverse shows Nicks and a Creepy Crawling , It's Alive Kinda Growth....

I see the Reverse is Awesome and in Sweeter condition, No visible nicks. I Love the Twin Fasces, the Design is Classic in Every Way.

Grading is going to be Subjective According to the degree of the Possible damaging affects from the ?. IF any.

I believe these Commems are Under Graded for their condition, I will say, IF graded MS-63,64. Maybe the strike was Weak, worn dies, the Obverse has weak Hair strikes and Facial Details, Worn? Thanks for Sharing. I Too have taken leave from My COMMEMORATIVE Collecting Treasures.....

From the images...

The obverse has several hits/divots that will limit the grade and the reverse has several visible marks as well. It's hard for me to tell from the images provided - Does the coin have good luster?

Regarding the dark "toning," my eye see the coloring more as surface staining than natural toning. The patterns of the coloring do not appear to be natural.

The coin does have good luster, though I would not say it was not full. Honestly, if I were to put a number on it, not greater than 75% remains. If not natural, I wonder what it could be from?

Thank, commems!

The images provided do not show original luster well. To my eye the toning is very distracting. That said - even at this level of magnification the coin is generally clean of hits.

I offer a grade opinion as Mid-MS but not gem.
