1970 D Jefferson Nickel Error? - Coin Community Forum

gezadrummer1930 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 04/06/2023 10:30 am Hi, I am going through my inheireted coin collection and recently and found this nickel. He more so collected change over the years and and had a ton of modern FV coins and so after picking out all the silver and older coins worth more than FV I took all the rest to coinstar and this one was rejected. I was wondering if it was a error coin. The closeups of the reverse it almost looks like it is an oversized planchet that got stamped over another nickel and encased it.
