dar, I've also searched and found nothing. The best clue is the "propeller" ornament, which seems to have become popular in the 1920s -1930s.

Is there a reason why you suspect this is a Canadian token?
Could it be the "Hotel Champlain" in NY?

Could be. For some reason when I searched for Hotel Champlain I found one in Montreal not New York. Either way it seems to be an unlisted token.
