Greetings. I am new to the forum and collecting. I look forward to learning as much as possible.
I collect all coins and currency but find myself favoring half dollar and large dollar coins.
I need some assistance on my first post. I have a 2001 D Kennedy half dollar that has me searching for answers. The coin has the appearance of a proof coin or other effect. The edges are solid and shiny, there is not the typical two layer clad. The coin weighs 11.19 grams.
Where would be the proper place to post this?
Thank you in advance.

The coin was most likely plated if you do not see the clad layer and it has a D mint mark as it cannot be a silver proof.

The best place to post your coin is in the Modern Coin Error forum.
