Hi guys. Very new to this forum, in fact I'm only here because I was curious about a few of the coins in my possession. After reading some of the gradings and classifications of coins in general, I decided it would be best to post pictures of these coins to see if you guys could help me at all. I was just wondering if any of these coins have any value behind them, or are they just duds? Sorry for the bad quality/noob photography (web cam FTW :S)

Hi Scalectrix and welcome.

it may be beneficial to you to post each coin separately in the world grading section. that way people can give you more information.
Your photos are fine by the way. ( especially for a newbie lol)

The first 2 coins of course a Lincoln Wheat cents.
1911 - VF $1.75

1912 S- (The S is the mint mark by the way)the hole could be there for any number of reasons. and grading with a hole is not very easy. as a G4 grade it's worth around $15 but most people may disagree with grading with the hole.

For all the rest we really would need to see the opposite side of the coins as well. Mostly because establishing grade is strongly based on the bust image on most coins.

Hi Scalectrix, to the forum!

As the first 2 coins have been dealt with, here's a bit of info re the rest:

3. 1916 Half Penny - Australian
4. 1916 Penny - Australian
5. 1919 Six Pence - Australian
6. 1946 Half Crown - Great Britain
7. 1959 Shilling - Australian
8. 1886 Three Pence - Great Britain
9. 1948 Six Pence - Australian

As Malissa suggested, it would be best to post photoe in the grading section, and show both sides of the coins.

I'm no expert on grading, but coins 4, 6 & 7 look OK to me. No 8 is not too bad for a coin of it's age.
