I have this and a new camera. The first photo with, lot to learn and wait for RAY system for. Appreciate suggestions for a beginner in correct photo. The coin is in an Capital plastic holder.

Second looking to the photo, seem to be DDO 1957 Proof. maybe yes maybe no IGTW, the 5 and the end of the ribbon.

thanks.

Silvio, first thing is to take your images from directly overhead, This way the camera can focus on the whole coin and have it all in good focus not just the close part.

Thanks, It is new for me this camera LOL. Has 14 crazy point as : Apertures, ISO, Macros 2.3 to 5.6 hell, Filters 3 kind C-Mon, 23 to 600 mm what LOL, and etc. And not to say Wide Macros, Close Macros, Photos something lens, a tuber (they write hood LOL, I took pictures not cook) to plug. Not to say connect with the computer automatically and with the phone LOL. This camera will be my nightmare C-Mon.

I will try on my old stile.

lets see
First thing this new camera is a digital one right? not film, I'm assuming?
Aperture controls your depth of field: Aperture refers to the opening of a lens's diaphragm through which light passes. It is calibrated in f/stops and is generally written as numbers such as 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4, 5.6, 8, 11 and 16. Lower f/stops give more exposure because they represent the larger apertures, while the higher f/stops give less exposure because they represent smaller apertures.

ISO: In very basic terms, ISO is simply a camera setting that will brighten or darken a photo. As you increase your ISO number, your photos will grow progressively brighter. For that reason, ISO can help you capture images in darker environments

Macro: To make things easier to understand and compare, macro photographers use an actual ratio rather than always saying "life size" or "half life size." Specifically, life size is 1:1 magnification. Half life size is 1:2 magnification.

23 to 600 mm: is your focal length of the lens 23mm would be considered 'wide angle' which allows you to get more background in the picture. 600mm is considered 'Zoom' Trying to see something that is far away to appear closer.

Filters: are for anti glare, reduce polarization, infra-red filter, UV Protection, etc...

Thanks DEAR, You was very pointed and made me to understand some terms. Very clear Thanks.

It is digital Cannon Camera 2013 I took because I need good pictures for my coins and the book. I know I can have my RAW pictures and also has TV sRGB which give you more reality.

With your explanation you clear me and the explanation was excellent. Simply and point. The book is Flu-Flu and made me lost.

I know I have to practice and know all the buttons on and main set-ups. New science for me.

THANKS..

@Dearborn, I've been trying to understand the basic dynamics of photography for a long time now and truth be told I found calculus to be easier than photography! I've read books on photography but never really understood it until I read your post up there. Thanks! FYI: You should write an illustrated book called "Photography For Dummies" as long as you don't have anything against being rich, cause it would sell! I'm gonna go play with my Nikon P-900 right now.

Yes Dear it is a good idea to have something clear.

Anyways, I was up to read those terms till 6 in the morning then from 11 AM till now. I made the wrongs decision for this camera. Is really nuts camera. I done sure something because ask me to plug the GPS LOL. I want to photo coins not to be Google Maps. Then also ask me to register the lens on the camera, I need also the drive license? Also I take a picture and ask me if I want to send to the phone, computer or other address.?

I have fun today with and also a very agreeable lady in Japan from Canon who laugh all the time.

Thanks Dear, do your book with charts etc. good for all. The Medical school was much more easy then a modern camera.

I considered easy the photo, been based on electronic Microscopes and Medical Imaging, but in reality it is a science.
