3 times in 3 months this buyer creates a new account and bids late on the auction and wins yet never pays. Did it again last night. A new account from the same zip code. I called ebay support and they confirmed it was the same IP address as the other 2 accounts. Last time ebay said they would block all accounts from that IP address yet it happened again. I have no clue who this person is or why I am the subject of his attention. I did find a person with his name in this small town (zip code).on Facebook. I've been told by other sellers just to quit doing auctions and just do Buy It Now listings. So has this ever happened to any of you? Thoughts?

I got off ebay do to people doing that to me and the scams. I've blocked them and they'd sign right back up. You have to press ebay to-do their job. I did and they stopped. But there's always another to take that person place. I guess you have to decide on what you'll put up with. Contact other sellers to and keep them posted, hopefully its not a nut targeting solely. I wish you luck.

Almost all my listings are BIN requiring immediate payment. Usually takes longer to sell, but it largely eliminates the problem.

IP addresses change, so blocking 1 doesn't fix the issue.
I've had this happen a couple times, once by a person that had feedback of serial non payment.
I messaged them and gave them a piece of my mind.
We went back and forth, but they didn't do it again after that.
I would contact this person directly.

I saw on first 2 accounts he was doing this to at least 2 other sellers. You would think ebay would do a better job of stopping this.

Waited the 4 days and cancelled reported non payment. I was told his new 3rd account was to be banned. He is still active after his 3rd time doing this to me and others. SMDH!

I must admit: I have never traded on ebay for anything. I have heard too many stories of woe. To make matters worse, my name and address were hacked from my medical insurer, and sold on the' dark web'. Now, I get at least one scam attempt per day, and they are becoming ever more sophisticated. Not keen on financially supporting the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Would you mind sharing the user's latest (or all) ebay name(s) so that the rest of us can block too?

The first 2 accounts are gone now. But the 3rd is still active. You can message me for the name if you wish.
