Hi, what grade would you assign this Mercury dime? I know usually a Merc. in this condition would probably grade about XF-45 however, according to David W. Langes's book The Complete Guide to Mercury Dimes the "1925-S holds the record for most poorly made date in the series... plagued by a weak strike throughout... especially noticeable around the reverse periphery. Some of the letters in UNITED STATES OF AMERICA may be indistinct, particularly at their tops.."

This weak strike issue makes it difficult for me to grade. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

This doesn't look like a weak strike to me, there is normal wear on the obverse and reverse. I'd grade this as VF-35.
Rest in Peace
