At times I have found myself looking at some items listed by ABON and they seem nice. But after the first time I did some research and after the research on the seller something just struck me as 'wrong'. I don't know what it was, but I just got bad vibes.
So anytime I land on one of their listings, I just pass on by.

A long time ago I purchased two SGS slabbed coins, but only because they were $.99 with no bidders and free ship - I said what the heck! I was already buying an NGC coin, so it didn't hurt anything for 2 extra bucks. The coins sat with my others for a year. Two months ago I listed the 1987 Dime, exactly as I had purchased it - which is probably an MS70, and tossed the "MS70" nickel into my son's bank because it was a CIRC, but 'shiny' coin. Within a day the listing was removed and I received an ebay policy violation. I've reported aboncom several times because although they do not 'technically' violate the poorly written policy, they do blatantly, falsely, and openly advertise coins that are not what they are selling. To me, I agree this is wrong. To ebay, they make a killing from listing and final value fees from this seller. I've put that in so many different ways when submitting the violation. You can also read the 'victims' feedback and can plainly see that they realized after the fact they were ripped off. They should be able to slab the coins, just not list/advertise them as "perfect MS/PF70" coins because they are lying. I've just been inspired to send in a few more violations! UPDATE: boy do I feel good! ... each one of them got sloppy on a listing or two so I've reported a bunch of violations this morning!

Has anybody ever delt with NumismaticBureau on ebay? Once I saw the description "old Cigar Box with coins" The picture showed a old Winchester cigar box with probably 20-30 coins. 2 were slabbed MS 70 Westward Journey nickels. I wanted the cigar box to harbor a bit of my collection so I bid 16.00. I got the box...It was cardboard with a picure of a old cigarbox pasted on the front. The slabbed coins were AU53 at best slabbed MS70! the rest were pocket change in 2x2 flips with a picture of The capitol, a indian, ect...what a ripoff. I promtly sent it back and got money + shipping and reported him to ebay. All of his acutions included grossly over graded coins in slabs that said VALID across the back. He had a MS 70 Morgan for sale with 20 other slabed morgans for 75.00. Over 100,000 customers decieved, what is scary is most of them left feedback saying they were satisfied.

Ah.. looks like he's changed his labels since the last time I saw some of his pocket change. He's one of the most prolific self-slabbers out there - I'm glad you got your money back.

Wow ... I've actually seen those too ... looked very interesting, until I noticed the individual coins! I think this is the same person that has the 'newly uncovered finds' (includes the dirt), 'fresh from the OLD barrel', and 'huge estate sale' unsearched coin lots. He uses the software you can buy at most online coin shops (Jakes Marketplace, etc). Haha ... great marketing ploy, but I would never buy. Glad you got your $$ back too. I just can't believe it's not a real authentic cigar box, which would be worth more than those coins!

Numismatic Bureau is a ripoff. I've seen the slop they sell, and it should be illegal.

I've got to "coin" a new phrase here. When an auction has been busted for fraudulent purposes I think I'm gonna say they've been...

I saw some graded coins at a coin show I think the TPG was ACGS or ACGGS...anyway, even the dealer did not know much about them or didn't want to talk about them....very suspicious to me.
