Curious for people's take on this. I have a few thoughts but I'll leave them out until other people have weighed in.

Well, the photo is not real clear for me, but I have bad eyes. To me the serifs on the letters, mostly the I's, N's, and E's don't all lok the same. I don't collect Newf stuff, nor modern coins .... it was just an observation from an open question by the OP. I think less than VF-20

I'll say F-15 (Sheldon).

@Coinfrog - I tend to agree that it's about a F15...it might make VF20 on a good day but it's certainly in that range. I thought, however, that it's a good illustration for the concept of 'best in grade' which I did not really appreciate for a long time. The toning is pretty good and likely original (I think?) and it's nicely balanced. There's maybe a little bit of north/south asymmetry on the obverse but that's it. There is also a faint scratch and a little bit of schmutz at 2 o'clock on the obverse but it's not distracting in my view. So, on balance, an aesthetically pleasing, low grade coin.

I think F15 as well. Its a great example, a real nice F15, but the wear holds it away from VF.

Cheers!
