On the reverse side, the U in the word Pluribus on the right side of the torch seems to be missing or very faint. The first U in Unum is faint. Am I just seeing things? Spence Moderator United States 34402 Posts	Posted 05/03/2023 06:15 am No you are not seeing things. This coin was struck with a slightly mid-aligned die. These are collectible when some of the design elements start to fall off the edge. Also, some letters may not have been fully struck due to a little grease in the die. The weakness on the devices could be due to reduced pressure as the obverse die was positioned slightly over the collar as the coin was struck.
