CCFPress Press Manager United States 1420 Posts	Posted 09/10/2024 10:10 am Heritage Auctions - 1963 50C Franklin half dollar -- Struck on 5C Planchet -- MS66 PCGS. A very rare wrong planchet striking, this piece is widely off-center with the bottom of the obverse and the corresponding top of the reverse almost completely on the struck coin. The result is that the date is full and in the central part of the coin. Good point - hadn't thought of that aspect of planchet movement. and the off center strike is to be expected as the collar is far too large to properly hold the nickel planchet properly.
