This will be 1 of 4 coins to test your grading of Lincoln Cents that would grade in the upper mint state ranges.

These photos are likely more of a true view image than TrueView itself, so take it for what its worth. I can post a link to the high-res files if someone wants them.

These next 4 coins are all being grading by PCGS - Ill post the results in due course.

Are they really? I have them calibrated based off what I see with an Eizo ColorEdge monitor so they shouldn't be that far off.

Give me a moment and Ill upload some new ones with the brightness cranked up.

Agree with your assessment - high MS.

Reverse shows some plating bubbles and slight Struck Through Grease on the legends at K12 - K1.

Best of wishes at PCGS.

I guess it depends on what your goal is?

This 85 has some minor rim issues...there is an open field hit at 2k on the obverse...couple of small dark spots...lots of die polishing lines (not a fresh die).
There is a hit on 2nd and the last column...STATES OF AMERICA is not struck sharp (for whatever reason).
I would tread lightly on this one...put it in a flip and go back to it in a couple of months and look at it with a new...more experienced eye that you developed in just that short period of time.
Many a submitter thought they had a MS68RD...965 ended up with 66-67+ worth $20-$75
Just my take...I've been there and done that because of the urge to submit coins for grading...you almost feel like you're missing out because everyone else is submitting.
Good luck...if you do submit...please follow-up!

an 85(P) needs to be at least MS68 to be worth slabbing and this one is not even close. smat45 outlining all the issues and i'll add the reverse is mushy as well. the memorial is not well struck. every little flaw and mark will detract once you hit 66

i have a hard time getting this one past 65+RD. dont waste your $$. keep looking and post the others before you ship any off. it takes a seasoned eye to assess these and TPG's are very stingy with 67 grades on them since millions of moderns were struck
