@Bump111: Nice! I like it! It's always cool to still have an "origin" piece for a collection.

qktbird, I'm amazed and astounded by the quality and variety of your collection! I had no idea so much exonumia was produced for this Exposition!
And commems, I saw your post and find it fascinating. The Irish hold the Blarney Stone in absolute reverence, so there must have been quite the infighting over removing a piece!

Kinda a cool thread here... I have several world's fair tokens and other medals. Many of these items are scarce to rare especially with their original boxes as some here have. Just try to find a London 1851 crystal palace medal/token, I don't have one yet but all of them are rare and carry significant value. I will try to post some of mine as I am also a collector of worlds fair items...

1884-5 Worlds Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition Award Medal. Bronze, 73 mm, 228.8 gm. This medal is massive! I had to get a special holder to house it.

Commems....thats a nice medal! Not often you see cotton states tokens and medals.....especially really nice examples like yours!
Hondo.....that award medal is a beauty! Those huge lighthouse holders are nice aren't they! I have several of my very thick large medals in those holders. They are a little expensive, but really nice! Don't be fooled by all the nice looking tokens and medals I've posted. I have at least 200-300 others that are pretty worn or in really rough shape! If I see an 1893 token or medal I dont have, I'll buy it so I have an example and if another comes along in better condition, I try to upgrade. I like to try to collect all the different metal types or plated types a token has too so I do have plenty of ugly looking tokens in my collection. LoL

qktbird, that is a fantastic and incredibly impressive collection you've assembled! I wish that I had the discipline to focus on one topic as you have. I generally concentrate on Louisiana trade tokens, but the rare ones are seldom seen. I scour all of the online auctions. In the future, when I see Columbiana items I'll alert you.
