Pulled this out of my pocket and noticed it's color looked a little different than the other pennies I was holding, looking a little closer I saw that it's an older 1937 Wheat penny.

I compared it to other ones on PCGS https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...c-rd/2659/66 and I'm thinking it may at least be a 66. The wheat on my coin looks a little more defined than the grade 66 coins on the website.

Whatcha folks think?

Not a 66 for sure. You've got some carbon spots and nicks on the shoulder. Please show us a straight-on shot of the obverse, not slightly tilted as here.

to the CCF!

Well that's a nice discovery. Given the posted pics, I'd say it falls in the MS61-63 range. A better image of the obverse might narrow things down.

Your pictures are not nearly good enough but take a look at WDDR 002 I see a enlarged left dot and a die clash on the reverse in the right place can't see the other markers but you can check

Yes it's a DDR. Look at the dot
between E PLURIBUS, and the thickness on E and P.

@Coinfrog Yeah I would of thought the carbon spot would hold it back but I saw this https://www.PCGS.com/auctionprices/...765651967152 same coin listed as a 66 with a darker spot on it that I'm assuming is also a carbon spot. Idk if it's the lighting but the wheat also looks more worn on some of the coins at the rating than on mine. I'm new to this and will look into getting a better setup for taking pictures. I appreciate the replies : D

I was taking the earlier pictures during the day and this followup picture of the obverse was taking right now at night. Any recommendations for a magnifying tool that has a light built in?

the light glare in your original photos is hiding the actual surfaces. the second obv photos shows slight wear.

I'm with badthad AU58. still a nice find
