Not really sure where to put this here but lately I've viewed some counterfeits on some other forums that make me genuinely concerned my eyes won't pick out a really good counterfeit in a private transaction if it lands in my lap so I'm thinking about a sigma. Is the classic with three wands good enough or is the pro mini worth the upgrade? I don't think they're a catch-all but they help.

You can buy some really nice coins for that much money and you're right it's not a catch all.
Your best defense is to educate yourself or buy from someone you trust .
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

That has always been why I've never owned one, but some of the examples lately would fool my eyes with a loupe and Ive been hobbyist collecting for 20 years
