PCGS - This 2018 Malaysian 10 Sen error coin escaped the mint after a feeder-finger malfunction caused it to be struck together with the planchet. While most feeder-finger errors are sold as scrap, others are acquired by collectors through Mint employees or metal dealers. At PCGS, only the struck portion is graded and treated like any other coin. This one earned a PCGS MS65.

I have to admit that I prefer this to it being scrapped.

These current Malaysian 10 sen coins are made from stainless steel - just straight, plain steel, not plated or coated or anything. So the composition of the coin probably isn't all that different from the composition of the feeder finger, allowing the two pieces of metal to fuse together neatly.
