Malta plans to release a silver bullion coin in the third quarter of 2023. The obverse will feature a majestic golden eagle fighting against a dangerous and vicious serpent symbolizing temptation. The reverse will feature the national coat of arms of Malta, placed on a wreath inspired by a painting on the ceiling of the Grand Master's Palace in Valletta. The whole is surrounded by olive and palm branches, a symbol of peace. Lily blossoms refer to majesty and glory, while roses are an attribute of purity and harmony.

Looks like a pretty neat design if you ask me. Anyone interested in getting one?

Looks like a nice silver coin. I have a few ancient coins from Malta, lower grade. St Paul shipwrecked there and was bitten by a snake on his way to Rome.

Island of Melita, obverse Isis, reverse Osiris, 26mm, 2nd cent. BC, SNG Cop 463

The obverse look Mexican with the eagle and snake.

Reminds me of a modern Feuchtwanger cent design. Seems like everyone wants in on the high premium on silver bullion coins. I doubt I will get one unless the premium is reasonable (and I'm not sure what that is any longer!)
