I know that the silver eagles beginning in 2022 have incorporated anti counterfeiting technology most evident in the missing reed on the edge, along with other covert methods which the mint won't disclose. My question, is the mint using this same feature of the missing reed on all the gold eagle denominations as well?

The missing reed edge doesn't help much for security. It's easily faked. See YouTube link below of fake ASE with missing reed already being sold on some web sites. Good security features are on Canada Maple Leafs and Britannia. See about them. The US Mint is behind in implementing good security features, meanwhile places like China churn out lots of fakes and not enough is being done about it.

I think only the 1 oz gold eagles have the missing reed edge, not the lower fractions.

There are rumors of other covert security features on ASE, AGE, but why bother if dealers and collectors don't know what they are. They would be of no use in spotting fakes in the market. IMO the US Mint won't comment about it because they don't exist.

To avoid fakes, buy from reputable well known dealers, LCS, collectors you know, etc.

Those were my thoughts too. The missing reed is a lame security feature even when the position is changed for different years. And not disclosing what covert measures have been implemented is totally useless to the consumer. Canada and Britain have a superior technology for sure. From what I was able to gather, only the 1 ounce gold eagles have the missing reed feature. That is why I posed this question about the fractional denominations. If anyone knows for sure, please let us know.

Missing reed edge is only on the silver eagles and 1 oz gold eagles. I looked closer at my 2022 1/4 oz gold eagle, no missing reed, they are all there.

Yes, best to restrict yourself to just buying from the big dealers, but even then you must learn the skills to check them out. As mentioned above, the modern Britannia and Maple Leafs have features that make them the easiest to confirm.
