Hello! :)

I was just wondering if this loonie is a dual missing clad layer or if someone may have just stripped it?
It weighs 6.3g on my scales.
Thank you in advance for your opinions!

There are no clad Canadian coins, so it can't be missing clad.
Your loonie should be brass plated steel.
With that grungy look your coin has almost certainly been subject to environmental damage.
6.3g is the correct weight for this coin.

It may be the pic, but the diameter looks smaller than the 1987. It also looks round, not 11 sided. If it's round, could it be a token from the mint? Let us know.

Because it is, all loonies 1988 and later are smaller in diameter and thinner than the '87s

I remember that dollar. I dropped it in the snow at the corner store . It stayed in the parking lot all winter, in the salt and slush, until I found it the next spring, and spent it at the corner store. They must have given it to you in change. What a coincidence.
