That's hilarious that it took him 2-1/2 years to prove that he had a copper-plated steel cent!

Gosh, imagining the Secret Service actually caring about fake collector coins is the funny part.

Hmm, the SSGC barcode scans as 458054-001. I think it's a fake slab.

Well, I'm a little late coming in on this topic, but it's made my day. I try and steer clear of any coin-related groups on FB other than Coin Cube Trading and the ANA, mainly to avoid having to increase the daily dosage of my blood pressure meds...

Thanks Bobby, that made my day!

Thanks for the notification of another grading service.

I love their guarantee, it basicly says that if there is anything wrong or if you don't submit all the information they request, including transaction details with receipts, the guarantee doesn't apply. The guarantee only applies to copper coins on the day of encapsulation. If somehow they guarantee does apply your get a "reasonable remedy" in their opinion. (no clue as to what that would be), and if you aren't satisfied - they will sedn the coin back to you at your expense.

They also "strongly encourages owners and buyers to research the certification number on the registry on SSGC website to confirm any notifications of possible errors". Problem, there is NO registry on the website.

Now I just have to find one of these things, cheap.
