2021 D Mine Dime Looks Like Extra Leaf On Reverse

Jstbrowsing New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/27/2023 4:09 pm I found a 2021 dime going thru my change. On the back just above E.plu it looks like an extra leaf. I did wash the dime in dawn and soft bristle brush to see if it will come off and it did not. I don't see where it could have been scratched in either. Just trying to get opinions on what could have caused this to happen. Report this Post to the Staff

Dearborn Moderator United States 94786 Posts	Posted 05/27/2023 4:42 pm Washing it in dawn soap might be ok, but a brushing will mark up a coin and reduce any inherent value it would hold above face value (if any at all) Could be a stain, but, is that mark raised or incuse?
