Here is a 1949 cent with a thin planchette flaw, weight is 3.15 grams.

I'm surprised it's that heavy.
3.15 would be in the normal range for a circulated coin.

Are you certain this is a planchet flaw?

First thought was a clogged reverse die but upon seeing the poor strike on both sides and a noticeable thin rim I believe thin planchette. It's also an "A" between denticles. I also thought the weight would be lighter. Coin frog what your theory?

The rim is quite damaged on both sides where the missing 1 is. Just an observation.

Could have been struck on a tapered planchet.
