No1knows New Member Australia 1 Posts	Posted 05/31/2023 04:52 am Hi all collector and expert! I got this $2 coin and when I washed it the colour didn't change at all! To start, I would strongly advise you against "washing" your coins—or in fact, cleaning them at all. With that said, this seems to be surface discoloration to me, although I do hope we hear from some of our ANZ members to confirm. The most likely explanation is some kind of environmental damage - something mildly corrosive landing on just part of the coin, staining the area where it landed.
