It's a German issue. I can't see the date but I love the design!

Like wd stated, it's German, looks like it's a 1910, 25 pfennig. Looks like it's in great shape, too

And to the forum!

And it's a G mintmark, not an A!

Some more information..

Germany - Empire
KM# 18
Your reverse picture is a little dark, but it looks like a G on the bottom, which is the mint mark. The 1910G only had a mintage of 330,000. Here are the values listed in Krause:

F:3.00 VF:9.00 XF:20.00 UNC:70.00

Krause is sometimes off on its pricing, so you might want to do some searches on completed ebay or heritage listings on this coin, or maybe someone who specializes in German coins will post here with some better pricing information.

Which means it carries its own sort of rarity. Most German coins (even today) carry the A mintmark, which means it's made in Berlin. G means it's made in Karlsruhe.

For coins from the German Empire, such as this piece, that is true indeed. With today's coins, from the Federal Republic of Germany, it is different - most are from Stuttgart (F). But back then, and today, "G" coins usually have a somewhat lower mintage than others ...

The legend is Deutsches Reich, meaning German Reich, the name used on German coins up to 1948.

The 1941 ones are zinc coins, series consisted of 1-5-10 pfennig, mintmark is found below the value, coins with an A mintmark have the highest mintages. That said, all 1941 series are common.

The other coins are:
1 pfennig 1914A (Berlin)
5 rentenpfennig 1924F (Stuttgart)
10 reichspfennig 1925A (Berlin)
All are common, the five pfennig piece being the best of the three.
