Yesterday I asked a teller at my local bank for a 100 dollar box of nickels. She asked me what I was doing with that many nickels and I told her I look for older coins. She then said "Oh if you want, I had a guy drop these off a couple hours ago!" She proceeded to dig through her draw and of the fifteen she had I chose the best. She also had a handful of
fifties from the same series.

What is the difference in color in seals. One is light green while the other is a brighter more vibrant green.

That's awesome! If I'm not mistaken (but I probably am) It's just from wear, I have a few that have a nice strong green and others more of a dull, but they are all from the same year and series.

What do you think I could get for them? I'd love to hold on to them but they are too much to save. I just wanted to save them from being thrown back into circulation and would like to have them safe in another collectors hands.

I know exactly what you're saying, I hate finding the special high denominations, I'm no expert but on ebay I saw some in similar condition to yours and they were going anywhere from $160-230.
sorry I'm not much help, let's wait for the experts to tell ya. Anyways that's a good find and I might be interested If you plan on selling some

Thats a great find! I hate that someone needed the money so bad they had to cash them in though. But worked out good for you
