My vote would be a forgery note for the time being, but need to see the whole bill front and back.

Hey everyone! Just checking back! Yeah I got this today in circulation. I've been doing research and nothing comes up that quite describes this type of 2009 A Series One Hundred Dollar Franklin Bill with a "Woven Blue Strip" that can be woven and unwoven if I decide to play with it.

But when I read different topics from searches about "the blue woven strip" 2009 A Series I am getting a lot of 30% of money is destroyed due to the standards and rules.

What I do know is if I decided I was going to print "counterfeit pennies" is that...

In no way can I get the dies used during the minting process to produce coins. I would have to artistically design the same die used in the US mint and engrave it is reverse to stamp the coin correctly.

I don't know everything about printing paper money... the best 8 can come up with is a scanner, printer, and glue. Which is a sure way to get caught.

This bill is real. It's gotta be! Over a hundred thousand folks on this forum and everyone is waiting for Steve! (I am too lol)

I'm about to post overseas on ebay.com and just see what happens.

We are talking about a circulated note that got through being destroyed and survived suffocated in wallet's and pockets! This note went through money counting machines, rode around bundled up in bags in armored trucks secured by armed protection! Into my hands when the money I had got refused and wouldn't be accepted!!!

As you know... I don't know anything about money. I think I do and I just learned something about the watermark.

Security strip errors on the new $100 note are kinda rare, but they're out there. Several past threads here at CCF feature a torn or partially missing strip. The problem with these examples is the difficulty determining if the error occurred while at the BEP, or afterwards. The blue security strip is "woven" into the paper and sometimes becomes unattached. I scoured the Heritage archives and was unable to find any similar examples. I also believe that errors like these, unfortunately fall into the "who cares" category.
