So I ended up buying two rolls of Edith quarter rolls today, and I've noticed on a good chunk of these the A is messed up in K(A)naka'ole (A is the specific A in question). What could this be considered? I'm pretty new to coin collecting so I'm curious.
Can't tell from the pic given, but would surmise from the fact that you have several that are the same, that it is a die chip. If you could give us a clear, closeup of the area, that would help.
Seeing how the letters are incuse in that area, and judging by the highlights from the lighting is on the same side, I'll go and say that this feature is also incuse, so, I'm going with a strike through something (grease?)
