Hello,I'm new to this group. Would really love input as to what you feel is going on with this coin. Weighed in at 4.6 grams has environmental or striking issues? Edges are severely gashed almost semetricly. Any experienced eyes out there? Would be greatly appreciated.

Just worn and damaged, perhaps deliberately.

This is of course the silver-copper-manganese alloy coin, containing no nickel. The metal is appreciably softer than the usual composition.

To my experienced eye, something is off about this coin. It doesn't have the look of a 35% silver coin--looks more like a true 75% copper/25% nickel coin. Anybody else?

Looks normal with the exception of the intentional damage to the rim. a little light in weight, but the wear can explain that. - but the title states 2.7 grams - that threw me off for a second.

Check that weight again. Should be 5 grams (or a little under due to wear).

Title is incorrect - 4.6g is the weight shown in the text. Seems reasonable.
