Weakness at the shield top.
Could this be an example of being Struck Through Grease or a piece of cleaning rag?
Can you suggest how I can better edit the image if a more clear picture is needed?

It does look like it could be a Struck Through Grease coin. I don't see any evidence of fibers or a thread pattern in that area, so I don't think it's struck through cloth.

Can you give us a full image of both the obverse and reverse? It makes it easier to identify what's happening with a coin if you can post nice clear images of the coin in question.

I am thinking Struck Through Grease. Looks like a minor die crack as well on reverse around 6k?

So if whiz & grease would not this coin still have some value?
Instead of being in a dealer's junk box?
I have to work on getting that yellow color out of the photo.
Harsh and poor lighting control on my part.
In hand it looks like copper with a bit of luster.

The grease is neat but pretty common, and they aren't really collectable. I could see someone asking $5 for this on ebay and accepting a best offer of 3.
