That seller has quite the selection of double-sided coins as well as other bizarre coin constructions.

With a ping tone test it must be remembered that lots of fakes also give a nice metallic ring,
however,
what you should be listening for is the difference in the pitch (higher or lower note variation against what is produced by a known genuine coin).

For some cast coins there is no metallic ring, but for diecast coins it is highly possible that a good metallic ring is possible.
That is why a difference in pitch against genuine should be listened for.

So I guess requesting to see the reverse of the coin is a mute point.

it's not bad visually.

I bought 2 fake Peace dollars (on purpose) a couple of years ago that were produced to look like a "super clash". The eagle reverse was clearly visible inside the deeper parts of Lady Liberty's design. (Weights were only around 19 g.)

He did show the reverse. You just have to choose which one you want to be the reverse since both obverses are on the same coin.
