Same 1970 Proof Set, again.

1970 S Kennedy half dollar Errors:

The half dollar appears to have an obverse broken hub in the R in TRUST. The R's loop in the upper half of the letter does not connect and has a missing part in the R's loop connecting to the extended leg of the R's lower half serif. The lower extended leg part is not elevated and seems to be missing at some angles and/or is partially there or ghosted. Kennedy's top portion of ear is double died.

In addition on the Reverse, DDR errors in 970, S mint mark, ST in TRUST, BE in LIBERTY. The Obverse has a noted right side bottom quadrant weak punch or punched through grease. A cloth or a splash pattern punch across the left bottom quadrant running SW to NW. A weak worn punch is apparent on the Reverse.

This coin appears to have a lot of flaws overall but part of the original set. Any comments are appreciated. I'm somewhat new to this but have looked through 100's Kennedy half dollars for days so most familiar with this coin in the set. Any advice on if I am missing any potential known errors for this mint or mistaking an error for a different one terminology-wise, kindly let me know.

Thank you,

Shuddle10

Ok, first off, lets go through some terminology here.

it is Doubled Die, not Double Died
umm, a coin is struck not punched. When a blank is made it is punched from the flat stock, then it goes through a upsetting mill that creates a proto rim and is now called a planchet. Once a planchet is Struck and ejected from the press, it becomes a coin.

So, on your Half dollar here, it is not a struck through a cloth, if it were, we would see the textile pattern on the surface of the coin.
I'm not seeing a DDO (you state it as a DDR) the date, liberty, and the motto "In God We Trust are on the obverse of the coin.
I do see scratch marks while looking at the obverse side, but I'm not sure if it is just lens cover scratches or not. As I stated in your other topic on the cent, I believe that these coins were placed in this case after it left the mint because of the possible scratches I see that could be on the surface of the coin.
I also see lots and lots on 'milking' again due to improper storage.
