Diameter is 28mm.

Silver coloured but rubs to high points shows brassy colour below.

The script looks like the one found on coins from India. But I'd say it's not a coin.

Here's an old thread, with links to some even older ones. It seems this kind of Hindu temple token is one of the more common designs, if frequency of appearing here on this forum is a reliable measure.
