Almost faultless Peacer. Positive seal airtight capsule will help prevent the black toning from spreading, - should be better than what a slab can provide. Love the luster where the black does not interfere with it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I usually like nicely toned coins but this one has distracting toning in my opinion and the hair above the eye looks weakly struck. The marks in the field in front of the mouth also draw attention. The reverse looks better but still I can't get to 65 on this one. Hey, if you like it then that's all that matters.

Nice one! The 1925's are some of the best struck Peace dollars. All the hair detail shows. This one came from a shop can full of commons:

I find the toning distracting as well, to be honest.

I agree with you guys, the toning isn't the best. But I prefer to keep it rather than dipping it

Quote: I agree with you guys, the toning isn't the best. But I prefer to keep it rather than dipping it I find that an attractive coin with a decent strike, especially the reverse. As you said, the toning isn't the best but I don't find it distracting. I suspect it looks better in hand than in the pics. I wouldn't dip it, either. To be honest, I never dip collectible coins, but will occasionally dip bullion coins that have excessive tarnish. Oh, and to the forum!
