hey I was wondering if somone can help me find out about a silver Roman denar I dug up outside Trier germany,, its Gordianus wearing some kind of crown very young looking with IMP CAESMANT GORDIANUS AVG & on the other side is a guy standing facing left with wreath in right hand & palm in left With VICTORIA AVG. from what I've read on the net seems kinda rare, Can anyone help me please?

, I agree we need a picture to know for sure, from your description your coin is a Gordian III 238-244 AD, IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG.

Does it look like this? This is what I came up with from your description.

Roman-Coin-Help-Needed

This would be a silver Antoninianus of Gordian III, attributed as RIC 5, rated common by RIC. I believe that it is a common coin and having a quick glance round on the web had a choice of coins to illustrate it.

yes this picture is the coin accept now I've had a good look its mabe not a wreath in the hand but somthing else.
thanx for the help :) & what are these coins worth do you know ? as its in same condition as the example you showed me ! I tryed to post a pic but kept saying pic was to large dunno why!
