I bought this raw from another CCF member on the forum about seven years ago. I finally got around to sending it in to PCGS. Came back MS62BN, just wanted to share.

Now THAT'S a nice coin. Early US copper is my current favorite ( Half Cents and cents). I've got two 1852s but my records don't indicate their grades. But I could certainly find room for a coin like yours.

Wicked nice coin! I like the Braided Hair Cents. Congratulations on the grade!

I think I remember when this coin came up for sale. I think he found it in a shop in Canada and bought it pretty cheaply. R-5 rarity coin too. Very nice.

@jerryc39... you have a very good memory. here are the original posts from "thedollarman" US Classic and Colonial Grading: http://goccf.com/t/251968Buy/Sell/Trade Forum: http://goccf.com/t/269930Also, I did send the coin to Bob Grellman shortly after I received it in November 2016 and it is now included in his Census. He also did a minor conservation. I recently purchased some 1946 S LWC with inverted mint mark and put together a package for PCGS variety attribution and grading... At the last minute, I decided to include this 1852 in the PCGS submission. I was pleasantly surprised by the PCGS grade. I even included a copy of Bob Grellman's Grade and Attribution in the PCGS submission.

nice that he made good $ on his purchase price and you did quite well getting that coin at his sell price too.
