Anyone know what and how old this coin is? I found it metal detecting.

It is a Chinese cash coin from the time of emperor Shunzhi who reigned 1643-1661. If you show us the other side, it might be possible to determine in which city it was minted.

Despite its considerable age, it has a moderate value of around 10-20 $.

I would agree, it seems to resemble the machine-struck replicas, rather than genuine cash coins. Unfortunately, we never saw the other side, and this thread is now six months old.
