Got some bills to pay so having to sell off a few pieces.

Can someone kindly give me an opinion as to the grade I should describe this coin to be in please--and an idea of probable value range if possible.

I sell on ebay UK-mainly postcards and ephemera-and need to describe it as honestly as possible as I value my feedback.

I've had this coin for a number of years in my eclectic coin 'collection' so it will be a little sad to see it go but 'needs must'.

In my amateur estimation I was thinking along the lines of VF+

Precious few of these, only 11,000, were minted. That said, it was still a sizable mintage for the issue, and they remain available in high grade. I see no reason to doubt it's authenticity, but you should be aware that the issue might come up for some potential buyers. If you have the ability to obtain an accurate weight for this coin, it will help your effort.

Obviously you'll want to make the U.S. available as a shipping destination. Your grading is conservative in the European tradition (); on this side of the pond, I believe the coin would be considered an easy EF.

Very little record exists of prior sales in circulated condition. Last week, an ebay seller with an excellent record for selling quality coins obtained a little over $US200 for a similar example - this is probably your target value.

Hi Tim & Hi Super Dave--thanks for your replies.

Tim--I'm quite happy to give you my ebay user ID but as I have under 50 posts I'm not sure if I'm allowed to and I have no wish to break forum rules.

Superdave-I see you 'own Austalian coins too'--perhaps you could have a gander at a coin/token I've put on the ''Identification: Unidentified Coins, Medals, and Tokens'' forum for identification.

I'll be happy to, but the fact that I own them doesn't necessarily mean I know anything about them.
Rest in Peace

I'd say AU, has some light wear but still a lot of luster, etc.
