Second, it is always better to provide an explanation of what you are seeing so that we don't have to guess. In addition to surface staining, it looks to me like the rim is a little thicker on one side than the other. We need to see a picture of the other side to know if your dime was struck off center or with a misaligned die. Please add this to the thread. Thx. Dearborn Moderator United States 95805 Posts	Posted 07/05/2023 07:50 am Not sure - it can be one of 2 strike errors here a MAD (Mis-Aligned Die) or an off center strike - on both coins, we will need to see the reverse to tell for sure. on the 1992, I see a tiny bit of a collar clash though. But please, in the future don't mix in different coins on the same topic - it is confusing. especially when you start with a 1987, go to a 1992, then go back to the 1987 coin again.
