Do a good deed for someone, and get a free box of pre-1982 Lincoln cents.
Post here about a good deed you have done that day, then PM me, and I'll ship you at my expense a small USPS flat rate box of rolled bronze cents, about 1500 coins. They are unsearched, and you can know that is true because I have nothing to gain by saying such. They were sorted long ago to separate out the wheats and the chaff (Zincolns) so are dated 1959 to 1981, and will be mostly Philadelphia mint, XF to MS grades. If you find an interesting variety or error, please post about it.
Yes, I could take these cents to the bank, but I hate to put them back into the wild when there are many fine people here who enjoy the search. I have five boxes to give away. Limit one box per person/address, please.

@nick10.... Very cool & generous of you!
While driving around town, I kept seeing "something" laying in the middle of the road, roughly 8x12 inches & was light brown in color. I assumed it was a flat cardboard box (or something insignificant) & didn't pay much attention to it. Day after day, I kept seeing it & eventually it irritated me to the point that the next time I drove by, I would go pick it up & put it in the garbage. The day I picked it up off the ground (to my surprise) it was actually a leather purse. My initial thought was to turn it into the local PD-Lost & Found but noticed a driver license in the clear plastic holder of the purse, so just decided to do an internet search to see if I could contact the owner. Luckily, the owner was easy to track down & I contacted her. She explained to me, the day she lost her purse, she had just finished having lunch at a local eatery, forgot she placed the purse on top of her car & drove off. A few days later, we met up & I returned the property. Needless to say, she was most appreciative.... (not because all her credit cards & money were still there) but for the fact that she would not have to deal w/ the hassle of DMV regarding the inconvenience of obtaining a new driver license! I laughed.

coin rejector, wonder how many people had passed it by before you made the effort. The owner had probably given up hope.
To encourage more good deeds, I'm looking for things done the same day the good deed report is posted here

@nick.... Coincidentally enough, I was talking w/ a friend who also noticed that same purse but assumed it was nothing more than just garbage. I bet a lot of people came to the same conclusion.

I held a McDonalds door open for someone earlier today, probably not a large enough good deed to qualify though.

Not the biggest good deed I'm sure but over the weekend had a homeless elderly lady that appeared to be disabled as well taking refuge inside a local whataburger( was in the 100s here in texas) exchanged a few words that she had not had anything to drink or eat. Of course my wife and I could not ignore basic human needs. So we bought her some food as well as some ice cold tea (as per her request) look on her face was priceless. But if we have enough to give, why not?

Today this older woman was very interested in coins.
I was having her look at different details of the obverse and reverse of coins, but she had trouble seeing what I was talking about.
I handed her my 5x Bausch + Lomb loop so she could see it.
She said "Wow, I can see everything now, I need one of those"
When she gave it back to me I handed it to her and said, "it is yours".
She was very happy and apparently made her day.

My neighbor had some vandalism done to their car (which was legally parked at the curb in front of their house) I researched my cameras and got the footage of the perp and their car, and gave them the data to them for the police report.

OK, one box is ready to go so far. I should have mentioned earlier, this offer is open to US addresses only since international shipping gets messy, but don't let that stop anyone from doing a good deed.
Khromtau, need your USPS address.

O have another one! My neighbor (a different one) across the street had his water softener blow out a seam and was spraying water all over his work room - flooding it. I had to don my 'plumbers cap' (and crack?) and help him out. The first step was to disconnect the softener from the mains to by-pass it or just pug the ends to stop the water flow. BUT the turnoff knobs were frozen from years of not turning them off and on to keep the calcium build up to a minimum. So I suggested we turn off the house water at the entry, but guess what? THAT Too was frozen - So off to the street cut-off valve the water company would use to disco a house and turn off every thing there. Good idea huh? - NOPE - FROZEN open. No way to shut off the house at all. So I had my neighbor turn on every water valve in the house to lower the pressure some, It worked enough to remove the flex pipe from the water softener and install a PVC plug onto each pipe and tighten them down. After a small fight I got the plugs in and the water leak stopped for now. The rest was clean up with a wet/dry vac. He will need to replace the softener with a new one since this one was ruined. But first I told him to call the city and have them repair the street valve first, then I can go and rebuild the main entry with new cut-off valves, and then sweat on new valves for the softener and then install a new one for him. Did I mention that he is almost 80 or possibly just over and couldn't possibly get it by himself? Oh - I just did. Pictures of the temp repair and the cracked water unit: (no pictures - didn't happen, right?) This should classify as a good deed... This was just today. Which took me away from CCF for a few hours and missed out on getting my posts in. (at least I managed to get in 70 posts yesterday
