When uploading images, the site recommends using searchable file names. That's a great suggestion for PC users. Renaming files on a mobile device would be way easier if we could just enter a new file name when uploading the image. Otherwise, we just get whatever random name the photo or image editor app selected.

Seems to be working, give it a few tests with small images. Feel free to try it out in this topic if you like, but please only use small files.  |

I had actually considered it a few times over the years but no one had asked for it so I moved on to something else. I wish I had done it years ago now, I use it all the time. I thought it would be tougher than it was, only took about 35 minutes.

YES! Thanks also be to you, Brandmeister. Now I won't have as many waisted hours making images in Photoshop that I've already uploaded. It also works as a "Text Search" word on the "Images in Your Upload Folder" pages, which I somehow missed over the 12 years I've been a part of the CCF. As it turns out, I've always given my images searchable file names when formatting them in Photoshop to CCF size requirements, with a very few exceptions.
