Hi - I've found this extended line on the mouth of the Sacagawea 2000p Dollar. It is still in the sealed clear uncirculated coin package from the mint, so not damage due to circulation. I would like to know if this is a known error or am I mistaking an error for something else? Any information is helpful. Thank you!

*** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

It looks to me like a gouge from hitting another coin, that just so happens to intersect the mouth.

It is PMD. Is the coin in some type of a holder?

I also think it is a hit mark. Try to move plastic around to see if it also has damage to it in that area.

to the CCF and just damage. Coins in government packaging can still suffer damage before they are packaged.
