I rediscovered the Numista for myself and am now engaged in adding my coins there. Unlike the previous online catalog, you can add photos of your collection there for free. I have never seriously dealt with these, only occasionally when I exhibited a coin for sale, but now I want to create a gallery of my coins (there are about 300 of them). I usually take pictures on my phone (samsung S21) in bright natural light ( no lamps, they create glare). But the brighter the coin, the more difficult it is to photograph it. There is a second option scanner. He's pretty good and I like what kind of photos he takes, but it takes longer (but for me it's not so important, the main thing is high-quality photos).
I generally tried to save photos from the seller, but they don't always suit me.
I want to listen to your advice. Sorry, but I won't buy a camera, it's too expensive for me.

Scanners can be good, but usually leave the image looking flat.
You can get very reasonable images from a cheap camera.
I use a Fujifilm Finepix J40 which I think cost about AUD$80.

Here's a coin you might recognise.

I found a round LED lamp in an online store that a person recommended in a nearby topic. I'll buy it later and I think in a week I'll show you some photos that I got.

These are the scans of coins I get on my printer. I think this is a good option, what do you think? I also got an LED lamp for my phone the other day and later I will post photos that are obtained using this light.

P.S. Tomorrow I will publish some more photos of coins received from scanners to evaluate the image.

Those are great pictures for a scanner.
