OK, I am interested in these two but I have these dates already. Not sure if these are varieties or not, especially the 51. I have the book, but there arent good pics with each description so I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

To see if these are a possible variety, you may have to post up larger images, so we can see details.

So what book do you have that doesn't have pictures? That seems pretty ... useless. Secondly, you can look up very high res photos of the varieties (if you know what they are) on PCGS. For instance, check these photos of the 1851/81 which is probably what you're hoping for. https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...1-1c-rb/1896

Newcombs book. The photo plates at the end are really not worth a darn. And there are only line drawings with the descriptions.

As for closer pics, Ill have to see if the seller can get some.

For the late date cents the difference between the dies are often VERY slight and often are just little "points" or die lines (from the final finishing of the dies) and they really don't show up well if at all in photos. The Newcomb book is really fairly useless for the late dates and even the first three editions of Grellman, which is now the standard reference used drawing rather than photos The fourth edition of Grellman has both but the drawings are still more useful.
