This looks to be a beautiful coin, but I see some light obverse scratches to the left of the figure on the obverse and around the arrow points on the reverse. Comments? This dealer has some super high end coins on his site.

OK then. Thanks for the heads-up. Advice taken. That said, what's up with all those small scratches, especially around the reverse arrow points?

Scratches are probably from cleaning, but hard to say with these very doctored photos. Definitely avoid this seller.

As others have said, stay away from sellers like these. They know exactly what they're doing when they take images that don't properly show the coins luster, hits in the fields, etc..

good eyes can see some big issues with the surfaces that are being hidden. particularly left obv field and the area around the arrows on the rev. who knows what else. these photos are meant to deceive someone

I bought from this seller. S/he honored the return promptly so no harm for me. I hope everyone who doesn't get what they were shown online asks for a return but sadly many won't and that's their unfortunate business model.

I actually keep a list of sellers who seem to purposely photograph to deceive. It gets longer all the time, unfortunately. I poked around on Etsy a while back out of curiosity and didn't hang around - looked like the Wild West with all the repro coins designed to look real.
