A few years ago we had a respected member here that would host what he called the "Days of" threads. In remembrance of him and his threads, and after a recent discussion in another thread, I figured I'd restart these threads. I thought it would be best to start with a series collected by many of us here for more participation. So, I THINK most collectors have at least one Morgan in their collection. So, in remembrance of Moe, here is the "Days of the Morgan dollars"!!! For those not familiar with these threads, its pretty simple. Starting on Monday the 24th (to give everyone a chance to get their pics together) everyone will start posting pics of their 1878 dated Morgans. The following day we post our 1879s, and continue till HOPEFULLY we have a full set of Morgan dollars posted! So, get your pics together, whether you have culls or pristine beauties, we want to see them all!!! For you Moe, the Days of 2.0!! The schedule will be...... 7/24 - 1878 7/25 - 1879 7/26 - 1880 7/27 - 1881 7/28 - 1882 and so on (feeling lazy and don't want to write out all the dates.) Anyone with any Morgan pattern coins (dollars or whatever) can feel free to post them at any time before the start date. Have fun everyone!!!

This should fun. I don't have many Morgans but will be checking in to admire them. In 2016 commems hosted a Days of Classic Commemorative thread. It was epic! Interested parties can read it here: http://goccf.com/t/187113

Sounds awesome. I find it especially interesting to think of the meta-collection comprising all of our coins.

A grand idea! Thank you for taking up the challenge. I finally get to update this topic for the first time since before COVID! In order to keep with the continuity, I made two small changes to the topic title.

Question: Do we add a day (or two) for the 2021 and 2023 issues?

We could have an "all others" day to include those fantasy strikes.

Quote: Question: Do we add a day (or two) for the 2021 and 2023 issues? I have no problem with adding them. I know in the older threads we always had "additions" at the end from people adding to their collections, so it wouldn't be much different.

Sounds like a plan to me! An extra day to show all your 2021, 2023, Carr Fantasies, etc.
