This is intended to be a fun thread for folks to post their coins that have "unusual" filled characters (letters or numbers), which are often referred to as "broken post" coins because the die has a broken post or small chip on a number or letter.

The more characters affected by a broken post or attached chip the better.
(It does NOT need to be, but can be, a DDO or DDR)
Also, Lincoln cents BIE's are certainly ok to share but there is a whole site dedicated to them and I wanted to give some air time to examples on other coins.

A couple of nice examples folks might be aware of, and to give everyone an idea of what this thread is intended to be about, are a1924s and 1909p Lincoln cents (which also happens to be DDO's) Here are some images from Variety Vista of those coins.
(for my tracking purposes I'm using US1cChCO which is the country, the denomination, (Ch)ipped (C)haracter (O)bverse or (R)everse, and the characters affected)

I tend to gravitate towards Lincoln cents but sincerely hope collectors of other denominations and world coins will add to this thread. We want to see them all.

I'll start off with one I won recently with three Chipped Characters affected on the obverse.
(I can't recall seeing a coin with more than three chipped characters, excluding the BIE varities, so I'm hoping others have one to share.)

Go ahead and "Sock-it-to-me" as they use to say on "Laugh-in"!

Great idea for a thread. I don't search for such things but my eyes shall be open.

Thanks for adding one E&V and keeping your eyes open ChafemasterJ.
I suspect this might gain momentum ... or not. Time will tell as people wander through.

For some reason, I'm enamored with coins where the broken post/chipped character is out of the ordinary. Something to look for while on the hunt and to break up the monotony when finds are sparse.

I've got more to add from some 1960D (SD) Lincoln rolls I've looked through recently with odd broken posts and chips. Evidently, there were quite a few tilted dies which resulted in a lot of clashes. It appears clashes can help produce the chipped characters.
So much so that Maddieclashes has an area dedicated to these tilted clashes.

( I wasn't aware of the page until now so I haven't digested all the info yet.)

Here's one I'm labeling 1960D(SD) US1c-ChCR-SOE-01(USA)
Chips are on the reverse, S, O, & E (of USA)

You're welcome Petespocket55! That 1960 D SD has quite a few Die Chips/broken posts. The 1960 D SD were notorious for this for some reason. Do you happen to know why by any chance?

Not 100% sure but suspect it has to do with the amount of tilted die clashes for the year, as detailed in the link above at Maddieclashes.com

For those folks unfamiliar with it, I forgot to mention the mint grease that is visible above the "ST". (Lithium "white" grease if I had to guess).
It is almost clear/opaque.
It's on quite a few areas around the perimeter on the reverse. ICA, CENT, UNITE
