I think it could be a 48+J7J. Is there a beginning of the leaf 3 die crack of J7j. The full side photos get a bit blurry when I enlarge them.

close up of leaf 3 ,if you look closely there appears to be 2 faint cracks right above each other all tho the top one starts at the same spot as the one on the j7j but curves up and the other crack starts between the denticles and not on the side
the 5 also doesn't look quite right

That coin has taken a lot of small hits on both sides which can distort features of the coin. I think the differences of loop 2 may be because of a hit there. It could also account for the apparent differences in the beginning crack at leaf 3. The stem to leaf 9 looks like it matches Reverse J7j. The photo of the 5 looks like it has the doubling at the top right of the 5 like J7j. The left side of the 5 also took a hit which gives it a distorted look.

For me, there is too much evidence for Reverse J7j and not enough clear evidence of a new die. It's impossible to tell for sure from the photos I've seen so far. Taking a close look at the obverse die state to see if it matches what should be there for the J7j die pairing would help also.

At this point, I still think J7j is very likely. Hang onto it though gidjit. Another cleaner coin may come along and prove my opinion wrong. A close in hand comparison under the microscope with a few other J7j's might prove it one way or the other.

Haxby 172 should be a nicely offset DP "1" and listed in the 2011 Charlton on p 295. I'll look at mine. According to the inventory that "Phil" made for me and that you have seen, I'm supposed to have 3 of them, but can only find 2. Do you have one of mine? All I have on the holders is "nice RP'd 1". It's a Haxby R-6.
